The Fuerteventura Tourist Board, through the Spanish Tourist Office in Poland, has installed in Gdansk, one of the main venues of the Euro, a tent designed to promote tourism in the island.
In a statement, the council explained that this initiative coincides with the large influx of visitors these days registers the Polish city because of international competition.
"You do not get Fuerteventura at a key moment as the European Championship in a strategic location as the center of Gdansk is an achievement of promotion," said Minister of Tourism, Blas Acosta.
He added that "the cost of this Day of Fuerteventura is minimal, as it has done with the participation of Fuerteventura tourist promoter in Poland and three students from local tourism."
Meanwhile, the tent is located in the center of the city of Gdansk, in a space provided by the City for the promotion of cultural and leisure coincide with the celebration of the Euro. The space and their positions will be present until 23 June.
The Polish market is the greatest increase being experienced in Fuerteventura. In fact, recent data of tourist arrivals in Fuerteventura, referring to last May indicate an increase of 42.36% over the same month last year.
This growing presence in the vacation preferences of Poles is also reflected in the tent at Tourist offices in Gdansk, where most of the visitors expressed their existence known and is interested in details of tourism.
